About
About HCD Barcelona
HCD Barcelona is a Barcelona-based AI adoption consultancy and independent media company. It runs two practices under one idea: change is easier to handle once it has been understood.
What the company does.
The consultancy helps non-technical teams adopt AI through a free discovery call, an opportunity diagnostic, workflow audits, implementation pilots and hands-on workshops. The podcast interviews people living through change in work, technology, cities and belonging, in long video conversations recorded in Barcelona.
Both practices share one method: observe closely, document what is really happening, and only then recommend.
How the company thinks about AI.
AI hallucinates, so the work is knowing where to use it and where not. That cannot be known until an organisation's processes are understood without AI in the picture. A person stays in the loop, always.
Founder
Daria Gavrilova
Daria Gavrilova is the founder of HCD Barcelona, an AI adoption and enablement specialist, a journalist, and the host of the HCD Barcelona podcast.
She worked as a journalist for more than ten years, at Kommersant, Afisha, Diari ARA and La Maleta de Portbou. She taught for around seven years, at Geneva Business School and UAB, and designed curricula before turning to AI adoption.
One thread runs through that career: take a complex field, turn it into a clear narrative, and guide people through it. In AI adoption, the same thread becomes process maps, workshops and plain explanations that non-technical teams can act on.
